Hi, I’m Stephanie
I am committed to helping small businesses create a brand that is not only beautiful, efficient and successful but connects and relates to consumers. Why? Because I get it. As a visual artist, I spend most days making my dream a reality and I know the hard work, dedication and emotional connection one can have for their business – so I take it seriously, and I really do want to bring your ideas to light.
Formally SPeters Designs, Starlight Marketing has been in business since 2012 working with start-ups and established small businesses. However, I have been working in the field since I was a teenager helping my father with his marketing efforts at his job in the Home Improvements industry. Now over 20 years later, I have worked with over 85 small businesses by building brands, developing digital voices and educating them on how to be in the driver’s seat of their digital presence.
I have a BA from the University of Arizona in Studio Art and Art History, and I have completed numerous continuing education courses in design, digital marketing, website design, and anything else I find interesting. In addition to running Starlight Marketing, I am an exhibiting, professional, international artist and I travel a lot. Feel free to ask me where I am when you call and I’ll tell you about the birds.
In April 2023 – Speters Designs became Starlight Marketing to reflect the current services offered.
Experience
Website Design
I have over 20 years of experience designing and building websites. From the early days of crafting websites using HTML code to working with website builders, I have built websites for everything from Auctions to Ecommerce to simple one page notices.
It’s been over 20 years since I started putting pixels and colors together to tell a story. With early experiences using Microsoft word to create mailing fliers for Home Improvement companies to designing full brand identities using Adobe Creative suite, my designs have become logos, signs, booklets, marketing collatoral, international games and way way more.
As an early Myspace user, and Facebook user when colleges were only allowed, it’s hard to admit, but I’ve been using social media since it was cool to be on LiveJournal. With 20 something odd years of posting, tweeting and liking, it’s safe to say my digital footprint is large.
In the days before there was email marketing, there was email and CRM software – and yes, I was creating email campaigns back then. Now I create and send emails weekly sharing news from brewing companies to non-profits and mom & pop businesses.
From the early days of when reviews started surfacing on the internet, I’ve been promoting brands and connecting them to fans digitally for years. My roots are in traditional marketing but like everyone else, I have made the transition to focus on digital marketing – though, I still see the value of traditional marketing in certain cases.
Literally, I have been optimizing sites for SEO before Google was separate from Yahoo. From keyword stuffing (not a thing anymore) to creating lengthy content to backlinks and schema – I’ve played Google’s algorithm game for years. And perhaps worse, I’ve played Bing, Yahoo, and Duck Duck Go games as well – or any other way someone will search and find you.
